ATTORNEYS AT LAW, is a highly motivated and aggressive litigation firm with eight attorneys complimented by a full support staff of paralegals and secretaries. In addition to the full range of legal services that we offer to the public, our office has brought together attorneys uniquely qualified to conduct all types of tort defense in New York State and Federal courts. Our offices are located in Carle Place, New York, minutes from the Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway, conveniently accessible by public transportation and the Long Island Rail Road. We currently handle litigation in all five boroughs of New York City as well as Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our present facility houses a full library containing all the necessary books and periodicals to effectively litigate in New York State and Federal courts. We have collected and maintain a comprehensive medical library for the benefit of our personal injury specialists. Our library facilities are augmented with state of the art electronic research capabilities at every attorney’s desk. Our resident investigator comes to the firm after a career with the New York City Police Department. PRACTICE AREAS The firm primarily represents clients in many areas of litigation. Legal services related to estate and surrogate matters, real estate transactions, business formation and trademarks are also provided. The firm’s attorneys collectively have decades of experience in tort defense, especially personal injury claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, products liability, municipal and private landowners' liability, medical malpractice and psychological injury claims. In addition to providing litigation services, we are frequently asked by insurance carriers for advice on coverage questions, bad faith issues, subrogation, excess insurance and co-insurance. Over the years, our expertise has been proven invaluable to our clients, in government and the private sector, enabling them to obtain concessions from collateral sources, and thus realizing substantial savings. The firm has three attorneys and other staff personnel who are certified mold inspectors and remediators. We are currently establishing a non-profit organization, the National Mold Defense Association, Inc., to exchange information and resources related to mold litigation defense. The Appellate Practice Unit, headed by the Honorable Joseph J. Kunzeman, not only supports our litigation teams but is in great demand by other firms to assist them in their practice in the New York State and Federal appellate courts. Judge Kunzeman’s twenty-two years experience as a Supreme Court Justice and Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department has helped establish this firm as one of the greater New York area’s premiere appellate practice firms.
